Dangerous app for Android
Google only allows an app to be available on the Google Play Store once it has passed a series of security checks.
Despite the arduous procedure, many harmful apps manage to get past these security tests and end up on the Google App Store.
Recently, approximately ten such apps have been uncovered, which can be extremely dangerous for consumers if downloaded and installed on their devices.
As a result, Google removed these apps from the Google Play Store.
Why were the apps removed?
Google has banned ten popular apps on suspicion of stealing user data.
According to a Wall Street Journal story, the banned apps have been downloaded more than 60 million times.
Furthermore, data theft is carried out with the use of these applications via the 'cut and paste' approach, which means that if you copy-paste any OTP or other details, hackers can steal the details from these apps.
Furthermore, these apps, according to the research, have access to the files downloaded on WhatsApp.
If you installed these apps or have been installed earlier on your smartphone, you should uninstall/delete them right away for the multiple security concerns outlined above.
The following is a list of the ten apps that have been removed from the Google Play Store.
